My loss, your gain.....

I was so excited to find this wonderful old, old step back cupboard. I had hoped to put it in my work room at home to store all of my fabrics and supplies in,.........but it was just a tad to big. But my loss is your gain, because it is now in the store...... ready for a new home!

This picture does not show off the fantastic
old chippy paint on this little chest.
Just the right amount of chippyness and wonderful layers of paint.

Nice buffet that is just the right length to put a flat screen
TV on and perfect for storing all the other stuff that seems to accumulate.
Great detail on the doors ...

Just in .....a custom made Salle Anne slip covered
chair in white duck with khaki welting... of course always completely washable.
I have more shipments coming this week....come by and see what I've unpacked!

From my Cottage to Yours...
Have a great week, Sandi

I thought I would share what's been going on here at the store lately...
It's been a week of moving, scooting,
re-doing, re-freshing, and doing a little (ok, a lot) of early spring cleaning (Still finding glitter from Christmas!!)...Funny how one thing turns into another before you know it. I guess the good news is, we have unpacked, hauled in, and re-arranged and well...see for yourselves...lot's of great new items in the store!

 Love this armoire,
 just the right size!

Lots of birds and nests...
 of course

Crosses...with rulers!!

Our front case done in a travel theme..

We have a
 nice selection of vintage
 frames right now,
always so fun to decorate with, there is so much you can do with them!

Have a great weekend,
(personally, I'm spending it with my
feet up and a good beverage)
XO

Where have I been?

Well...I guess you could say I took a little self imposed technology break...just needed to refocus and evaluate how I spend my time or in my case... lack there of. So for the last month..very little TV, computer only when necessary (not even facebook! )....
So now I'm back feeling refreshed....creative juices flowing once again. I must say I did miss my blogger friends and all that creativity just flyin' around out there. My hat goes off to all of you that manage weekly or even daily posts. I seriously don't know how you do it!
So enough about me......

We have the most wonderful iron bed in the store right now

Original paint with wonderful patina.
It just doesn't get any better!

Floral motifs on both head and foot board

Love these repo subway signs..
New York and France

We are now carrying
The Junk Girls "Bling"

Jenny and Melissa do an amazing job.
They are the ultimate re-use, re-purpose queens!
Cuffs are re-purposed vintage leather belts
Brass initials to add to your
Sterling silver spoon pendants
Pendants are stamped with an assortment of sayings and words. My personal fav....
Junk Diva!

Well I will try not to be such a stranger in blogger land... :)

From my Cottage to Yours,
Have a glorious weekend,
Sandi

Rainny Day Project

Well, I had big plans to do some serious flea marketing this weekend, but I guess mother nature had other plans...most markets were rained out....
So on to plan "B"...
I had a pile of European grain sacks just sitting in my work room..
nothing like a little rain to inspire me !

Now these grain sacks
are on to their new life...
What do you suppose the farmers who filled these beauties with grain over 100 years ago would think of us making pillows out of them?
The linen fabric has been washed and is now wonderfully soft..it really amazes me how this fabric has stood the test of time.

Available now at The Cottage.
Have a glorious week,
Sandi

What's New ????

Well, I don't know what's up with blogger today..it won't let me put a caption under the pictures....and well,I have completely run out of patience.... So I guess you will just have to use Your imagination and just guess what clever (or not so clever..ha,ha) description I may have written for each photo.
But I bet you can guess that we have a great new bed and dresser along with a great new buffet in the store!!
(My personal favorite are the bed springs!!)

Have a great week !!
